1. What Operating Systems does Deepnet Authentication Server support?

Deepnet Authentication Server can be installed and operate on both Windows and Linux server. Specifically, it supports the following different versions of Windows and Linux:

2. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support virtual machines?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Server can be installed and operate on virtual machines such as VMWare servers.

3. What is the minimum hardware requirement to run Deepnet Authentication Server?

Any Windows or Linux server is adequate for running Deepnet Authentication Server. To support a user base of up to 1,000 users, the minimum hardware we recommend is a server machine with 512MB RAM and 10GB free disk space.?

4. What are the prerequisite for installing Deepnet Authentication Server on Windows?

None. The installation package of the Deepnet Authentication Platform includes all necessary software components.?

5. What are the prerequisite for installing Deepnet Authentication Server on Linux?

X-Windows is required on the Linux server prior to installing Deepnet Authentication Server.?

6. Does Deepnet Authentication Server require a dedicate server?

No, Deepnet Authentication Server does not require a dedicate server. It can be installed and operate on a server machine with other software applications. However, we do recommend a dedicate server or virtual server to possible conflicts with other third-part applications running on the same server.?

7. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support LDAP and/or Active Directory?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Server supports both LDAP and Active Directory.?

8. Does Deepnet Authentication Server change schemas of the LDAP/AD Directory?

No, Deepnet Authentication Server is an independent server application with its own database. It does not change schemas in the LDAP/AD directory that it supports.?

9. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support SQL databases?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Server uses a SQL database to keep user accounts and credential data. The installation package of the Deepnet Unified Authentication Platform includes mySQL database server.?

10. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support an existing SQL database server?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Server can be configured to use an external MS-SQL database server as its database engine.?

11. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support database encryption?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Server support both software and hardware encryption. To achieve the maximum security, the database can be encrypted by an external Hardware Security Module (HSM).?

12. Does Deepnet Authentication Server support database synchronisation and replication?

Yes. As the Deepnet Authentication Server uses a SQL server as its database engine, the database synchronisation and replication is supported on the level of the SQL server. Both mySQL and MS-SQL support synchronisation and replication.?

13. Does Deepnet Authentication Platform support High Availability?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Platform supports load balancing and failover. Customers can install as many Deepnet Authentication Servers as needed in a load balancing and failover cluster to achieve high availability.?

14. Does Deepnet Authentication Platform provide a load balancing server?

Yes, Deepnet Authentication Platform provides a load balancing server called Deepnet High Availability Server (DHAS). Customers can choose to use either the software based load balancer (DHAS) or a third-party hardware based load balancer appliance to construct a high availability cluster.?

20. How does Deepnet QuickID deliver one-time password?

Deepnet QuickID is a virtual OTP token (tokenless) that is typically delivered on demand via SMS. It can also be delivered via email messages.?

21. What types of SMS channel does Deepnet QuickID support?

QuickID supports three options for sending SMS messages.?

GSM Modem: This option uses a GSM modem or mobile phone SIM card. SMS message are sent in the same way as a mobile phone.?
SMSC :SMS messages are sent via Short Message Service Centers provided by mobile network operators?
SMS Gateway: SMS messages are sent via the Internet to a SMS gateway that connects to worldwide mobile phone network providers.?
